Adult Classes:
Our Sunday school classes begin at 10:00am. Most of the classes are located in the Education Building. Class brochures are located in the foyer with details of each class.
Auditorium Class — meets in the main Auditorium
Mark Squires and James Jones co-teach this class. Both have graduated from Open Doors Bible Institute and are faithful to the ministry here at Open Door.
Philippians Class — Meets on the 3rd level in the Fireside room
Cesar Millena and Brandon Ha are co-teaching this class and have been dedicated to ministering to the Asian community.
College group (18 to 24) meets in Room 211
Jon Boyce and Pastor Kurt Kennedy co-teach this student class. Their goal is to teach the Bible, giving you real faith and guide you in a real relationship with God that will help you grow during this time in your life.
Marriage Makers – Young Couples 20 -35 years old, newly Married – Meet in room 210
Pastor Jeremy DeSpain and his wife Kim are passionate about helping young couples develop strong marriages and families. They were married here at Open Door and have been faithful to this ministry since they were high school sweet hearts. Both love the Lord and have a desire to help young couples grow closer together and to the Lord in their marriage relationships.
Single Adult Group - Meets in room 208
Wayne and Julie Mitchell are eager to help singles develop Christ-honoring lives. Wayne works for the Arlington Fire Department and has been faithful to our ministry for the past 15 years.
Spanish Group - Meets in room 205-207
Dan Mahood and his wife Gretchen are committed to helping Spanish families develop a heart for God. They have been faithful to Open Door’s Ministries since 1999 and we are glad they are part of the team.
Antioch Group - Meets in room 201-203
Pete Hanson and his wife Jennifer are committed to making the Bible come alive in your life, guiding you and your family in growing closer to the Lord.
Ambassadors Group - Meets in room 202
Pat and Karen Halliday have been caring for and loving families in the Ambassadors Class for 10 years. Pat is over the Drama Ministry and Karen is a Lead Hostess. Both have ministered in many other ministries here at Open Door for the past 16 years. And both have received their 2-year associates degree from our Bible Institute.
Cornerstone Group - Meets in room 209
Rob & Laura Yackel together with Williams & Darleen Olatubi co- teach this class. They encourage families to have a Christ-centered home and live out the Bible with their daily lives.
Each group plans special monthly outings and are involved in church fellowships.
