The Victory and Vision Banquet is our annual, semi-formal event where we project the future plans God has laid on our hearts, and rejoice in what has been done for our Lord throughout the past year. Each year we give special recognition gifts to our newest members, and enjoy a wonderful catered meal together at the beautiful Rosehill Community Center in Mukilteo..

Child Dedication Services- March 24 & November 3

Are you expecting an addition to your family this year? Do you have an older child you wish to dedicate to God? There is no better time than childhood to sanctify oneself to the Lord and to His service. At our Child Dedication services we give parents an opportunity to present their children to God, and promise to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Each family will receive a certificate with their child’s name and a New Testament in remembrance of the occasion..

Easter Drama- March 30 & 31

You won’t want to miss the all-new, 2013 Easter Drama. This is an excellent opportunity to invite your friends and family, as this entertaining drama will present the true meaning of Easter. There will be two shows available, both Saturday night at 7 PM and Sunday morning at 11 AM.

Ladies Spring Event- April 20

Join us this April as we race into spring with this special day just for our ladies. Share with us some good food, fellowship and the joy of saying “good-bye” to winter.

24 Hours of Prayer- April 30

Each year we start our Missions Conference off with 24 Hours of Prayer. The 24-hour period prior to the start of our conference is divided into 15-minute intervals. We ask that people commit to one of those slots of time, so that our church family is praying for our missionaries and our conference for a solid 24 hours before it even begins! Sign up on the banner this year, and join us in a full day of prayer.

Missions Conference- May 1-5

It is the aim of the 2013 Missions Conference to burden our hearts for the fields beyond. Join us each night to hear our special missionary guests. The meetings will be held every evening at 7 PM, with a fellowship dinner for the entire family prior to each service at 6 PM.

Service Member Recognition Service- May 26

Here at Open Door we are proud of our military and civil service members. As our nation celebrates Memorial Day, we thank the many men and women who have given their lives for our country, and we honor those who continue to serve both at home and abroad. If you are an active member or veteran of our military forces or civil services, please join us on this special Sunday so we can have an opportunity to honor you and say thank you. Service men and women are encouraged to wear their uniforms on this special day.

Music Night- June 9

Open Door hosts a yearly special night of musical performance. Come and enjoy the very best presentation of music from the Open Door choir and individual performers on this special Sunday at 6 PM.

Freedom Celebration- June 30

Join us this year in celebrating our freedom on our nation’s 237th birthday! We have a family BBQ, cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones and much more! There will be live patriotic music, fun games for kids of all ages and a great opportunity for all to get involved. Spend this special day with us!

Summer Camp- July 8-13 & August 5-10

No summer is complete without camp! We are proud to attend Camp Northwest in Mossyrock, WA each year, and your children are sure to have a blast during these great weeks of fun and focus on the Lord. In 2013, children’s week (for grades 3-7) will be July 8-13 and youth week (for grades 7-12) will be August 5-10. Don’t let them miss it- send your kids to camp this summer.

Father & Son Camp Out- August 2-3

You’re invited to our Father & Son Camp Out! Don’t have a son? Is your father not with you? Come anyway! All of our men are invited to attend. You can count on a bonfire, singing and a great time of male bonding.

Bible Conference- August 25-29

Get "filled" with God's Word at our 2013 Bible Conference! With a line up of special guest preachers and great music, you are sure to receive a blessing! Our conference begins Sunday morning. Monday through Thursday there will be a fellowship dinner each night at 6 PM, and service will begin at 7 PM.

Men’s Retreat- September 28-29

Our annual Men’s Retreat is always a great time. These two days of preaching, singing, and fellowship around God’s Word are sure to be a blessing to men of all ages. You will not want to miss it.

Round Up Day & Chili Cook-Off- October 6

The competition will be smokin’ at our annual chili cook-off! On this special Sunday, wear your western attire, make your best chili and join us for a great day of down-home fellowship with pony rides for the kids, popcorn, and prize drawings for the family. Don’t forget to “round-up” some friends to join in the fun.

Ladies Fall Fellowship- October 11

Every fall our ladies get together for a Friday night of fun. School is back in session; everything is go, go go… this is a great time for our ladies to take a break and fellowship together. Join us!

Children’s Drive-In Movie Night- October 26

Each year our children’s ministry gathers cardboard boxes from far and near to transform them into cars. They “drive” them to our Fellowship Hall to watch a movie and eat hot dogs, popcorn and candy! There are games, fun and prizes for all. Your kids are sure to have a blast!

44th Church Anniversary- October 27

On this special Sunday, Open Door will celebrate 44 years of ministry in the Lynnwood area. Please join us in rejoicing over this faithful testimony.

Northwest Youth Conference- November 7-9

Every year our teenagers attend the Northwest Youth Conference in Portland, OR. This three-day conference is hosted by the Greater Portland Baptist Church and offers not only great fun, but also phenomenal preaching; this is a great spiritual opportunity for your teens.

Veterans Day Service- November 10

Once each year our nation honors those who serve in our armed forces with a special day of recognition. Here at Open Door we salute you as well with a special Sunday service. If you are an active member or veteran of our military forces, please join us on Sunday, November 10, 2013 so we can have an opportunity to honor you and say thank you. Service men and women are encouraged to wear their uniforms on that day.

Ladies Cookie Exchange- December 7

Don’t miss our third annual Christmas Cookie Exchange. Bring cookies by the dozen (as many as you want) and exchange the same amount with other ladies in our church. This is a great opportunity to fellowship, get to know others and enjoy some delicious and diverse treats of the season.

Christmas Concert- December 21 & 22

The Open Door choir will present a wonderful program of Christmas music for your listening pleasure. At this special time of year, when people’s minds turn to messages of peace and joy, take the opportunity to invite a neighbor or co-worker to this special event. There will be two performances: Saturday evening at 7 PM and Sunday morning at 11 AM.

Watch Night Service- December 31

What better way to bring in the New Year than by watching for the Lord’s return? At this special service we will share in the Lord’s Supper together, as well as share in special music, preaching, and fellowship. The fun will begin on this Tuesday evening at 7 PM. Services will end by 11:00 PM for those who wish to travel home early; the rest are invited to stay and us in celebrating the entrance of 2013.
