Open Door was founded in 1969 by Pastor Ken Blue in the living room of their small block house in Mount Lake, Washington. For the first three years the church met and worshipped in several rented buildings. By God's grace and the recommendation of a dear Pastor friend, The church was able to purchase five acres of property on 44th Avenue, a main thoroughfare, in the city of Lynnwood. Through the ministry of Open Door over the years, hundreds have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and scores have surrendered for full time service in the ministry. God continues to bless each week as new families trust Jesus Christ and join the membership of Open Door.
